ABOUT 12 PLANES OF CHRISTMAS
Each winter, the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) celebrates the spirit of giving with 12 Planes of Christmas—a special fundraiser dedicated to keeping history flying. This annual campaign spotlights a dozen CAF aircraft in need of restoration, maintenance, or repair—each with its own remarkable story and connection to the past.
Your support keeps these historic warbirds alive for future generations to see, hear, and experience. Whether you give in honor of a veteran, a loved one, or simply out of a passion for flight, every contribution makes a difference.
This year, the Tampa Bay Wing's L-26, the former Air Force One aircraft “Ike’s Bird,” has been selected as airplane #9 in the fundraiser. We are raising this money to restore the interior to its former Presidential glory. Please consider a tax deductible donation to help us reach our goal.
